Privacy Policy

Summary: Tradscale Philippines Inc. processes personal data only to deliver our editorial services and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties, do not use it for marketing without consent, and do not profile users for financial purposes.

2. Legal basis

We process personal data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR). The National Privacy Commission (NPC) is the supervisory authority in the Philippines.

3. Types of data collected

3.1 Browsing data

Our systems automatically collect IP address, browser type, operating system, URLs visited, and visit time and duration. This data is retained for security and technical diagnostics for up to 30 days.

3.2 Voluntarily provided data

Through the contact form we collect: name, email address, subject, and message text. Through newsletter signup we collect only your email address.

3.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential technical cookies, analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4), and, with consent, advertising cookies (Google AdSense). See our Cookie Policy for details.

4. Purposes and legal bases for processing

Responding to contact requests — legal basis: legitimate interest and pre-contractual measures.
Newsletter delivery — legal basis: consent, revocable at any time.
Statistical analysis of visits — legal basis: legitimate interest, limited to aggregated anonymized statistics.
Contextual advertising — legal basis: consent for non-essential cookies.
Legal compliance — legal basis: legal obligation.

5. Data retention

Contact data is kept only as long as needed to handle the request, and no longer than 24 months. Newsletter data is kept until consent is withdrawn. Aggregated browsing data is retained for 14 months (Google Analytics 4 default period).

6. Data recipients

Personal data is not sold. It may be shared with:

Google LLC (Analytics, AdSense) — as a processor, with appropriate safeguards for international transfers;
Hosting and IT infrastructure providers;
Public authorities when required by law.

7. International transfers

Data may be transferred to the United States through Google services, with safeguards consistent with RA 10173 and applicable NPC guidelines. For Google’s privacy practices, see the Google Privacy Policy.

8. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

Be informed that personal data is being processed;
Access your personal data;
Object to processing;
Request erasure or blocking;
Rectify inaccurate data;
File a complaint with the NPC (privacy.gov.ph).

9. Minors

Tradscale does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have processed such data, contact us to request deletion.

10. Changes to this policy

Tradscale may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email. The last update date is always shown at the top of this document.
